Birth: (3) There seems to have been only 2 Doynes in MD during the time of Thomas Swearing en - Robert Doyne of Charles Co. and Joshua Doyne of St. Mary's Co.. Joshua's will dtd 1697 , proved 1698, names wife Jane and daughter Jane under 16. The daughter is too young to hav e married before marrying Thomas Swearingen and having children by 1688, and the wife is no t widowed by that time. There are no Janes in Robert Doyne's family (see Robert Doyne, spous e of Anne Burford). In 1738 Samuel Hyde of London leased land to her son John (see notes unde r son John). She may have been his sister. (NOTE: She could have been a sister-in-law.) (3a ) Jane Hyde. Marriage to __ Hyde: (2) Jayne Doyne Hyde. (NOTE: May not have been a Doyne but a Hyde. Se e notes above.) Marriage to Thomas Swearingen: (1,2) (1) 1708, 29 Jul: Thomas Swearingen wrote his will. Left his estate to his wife, eldest so n Thomas and sons Van, Samuel and John, who was under age 21. Named his wife executrix. (3) T homas Swearingen's will mentions wife Jane. (3) In her will, Jane gave to her son Samuel her houseplace and all her possessions "here a nd beyond the seas."
