BR:12; EVAN: 1217-1218; NEWS: 7:4; NEWS: *:2; (Query states he died before Nov 1832). See LWS: 51-54 for possible relatives. (Note: Funny, his pension application indicates that he was born in Bucks Co., PA. Pg. 1088, 'Abstracts of Rev. War Pension Files' by Vernon White. Also the DAR book: 'Soldiers of the American Rev. Buried in Ohio' says: 'born 1754 or 1756 in Bucks Co., PA.' He was on the Adams Co, Ohio US census with the John Caraway family, and (someone) said he was born MD. And the same census, 1850 Scioto Co., Ohio, Brush Creek Twp., lists him (again) as born in New Jersey! Oh well! He really got around! Ha ha.) Also among the Scioto Co, OH Death Records are these children of Burris Moore and Catherine EDWARDS MOORE. Catherine was the daughter of Jesse Edwards Jr.,( b. Nov. 01, 1786. Died 20 Sept. 1832) and wife Sarah M. Prather (b. 16 Dec. 1795, died 17 July 1870. Married 17 Oct. 1816.) Catherine EDWARDS MOORE was b. 19 Oct. 1818. Married: 8 Dec. 1837. I don't have her death date. 1. Jesse born Ohio, son of Burris Moore and Catherine/Katherine; died of fever 25 Sept. 1849, age 1 yr, 10 mo, 14 days, bur Mitchell-Morrison Cem., Nile Twp. MRTS (Mortality schedule gives age as 2 yrs.) NEWS: 15:13. 2. Moore, Joseph L., son of Burris Moore and Catherine/Katherine, died 17 March 1851, age 9 yrs, 5 mo, 24 days, bur. (same burial as above.) 3. Moore, Mary, born Ohio, daughter of Burris Moore and Catherine/Katherine, died of fever, 19 Sept. 1849, age 3 yrs, 11 mos, 4 days. (MRTS gives age as 4 yrs.)
