Notes
a. Note:   Granddad Moore was a Pennsy RR employee, as a machinist in the shops (and why am I not more skilled in fixing things?)and then as a steamshovel "engineer" (according to his obit). Worked the RR for 43 years (!) and retired at age 72 about 4 years before his death.
He was 76 when he died - and the obit says he was in failing health for about a year. I find it interesting that he was a member of the Gay St. Methodist Church (see pic) -but Eda and Helen Dutt were Baptists. I'm not sure how often he went to church.
He was survived by two sisters Mrs. G. W. Robinson of Zanesville (OH) (Bessie or Mary?) and Mrs. Della Hyatt of Akron. Rev. H. W. Peterson conducted the funeral services at the home - and I wonder if the church has any records. He died on a Friday and was buried the following Monday.
It is curious that although both he and Grandma Moore are buried in the same plot in Mound View Cemetery - I did not find any marker or stone for either one of them. His first wife, Ada Ball, has the only marker. Seems as though Uncle Edwin (the strong son) would have made some arrangements. He took title to the home at 514 Gambier and supported Grandma and Helen Dutt (Kittelberger) while they were alive.
I found William in the 1860 census at the age of two months!
