Text: "Eli and Martha Elmer Randall History" Phoebe Jeanette Randall was born 31 Mar 1873, in Nephi, Juab Co., Utah, the seventh child born to Eli and Martha Elmer Randall. She had seven sisters and six brothers. Two of her sisters and one brother died in infancy. The family was reared in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was restricted in theirsocial activities. Phoebe attended the public schools through eighth grade. She liked to play the piano and sing hymns. When Phoebe was a young woman, her family left Nephi to live in Woodside,Utah. Woodside is a small farming communtiy on the main line of the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad so a few railroad employees lived there. There she met Charlie. Phoebe was a beautifulseamstress. She made most of the childrens clothing. She also made quilts, crocheted, knitted, and did beautiful embroidery work. She received blue ribbons at the county fair for her handiwork. Phoebe lived on a year and a half after Charlie died. She was still a young person,57 years of age. She died 20 Feb 1931. Their life together had been a happy one, and they were well thought of in their neighborhood.
