  PLEASE REMEMBER a person didn't die on the date their will was proved. The proof date is when the will is brought to the county clerk by the executors and entered into the wills record book to prove it existed and the executors swear that it's real. People seldom die on the date their will was proved. It could be up to a couple of months depending on circumstances, but usually at least until after the person is buried and the family has calmed down a bit.
