a. Note:   Thomas was listed in the Civil War as a private Co. H; 45 Tennessee Infantry, he enlisted November 4, 1862 in Murfreesboro, Tenn. by Col Hall. On January 19, 1863 he was sent to a Hospital in Ringold, Georgia, reasons unknown. On April 19, 1863 he left camp without leave. On January 16, 1878 Thomas and Sarah sold their land in Wilson Co., Tennessee and moved to Eastland Texas between April 28, 1879 and First of June 1880 as they had a daughter born in Texas April 28, 1879 who died, they were in the 1880 Eastland Texas census. Thomas was a Farmer and Rancher, he died July 8, 1905 in Gordon, Texas. Sarah died February 8, 1810 in Gordon, Texas, they are both buried in the Old Gordon Cemetery. Some researchers say they also had a son named Orval V. Harrison born Dec. 22, 1875. Possibly they may have access to the old bible that would list their children?
