a. Note:   Joseph was born on June 18, 1814 but not baptised until January 25, 1818. He was left a half share of �5, to share with his brother Charles Durdell at the death fo their father, because of their large families. At the death of his mother he was left the following; One bed and mattress with tent bedstead and furniture. and all remaing goods to be shared with his brother Charles Durdell. His share of the twenty pounds (remainder of the estate of Elizabeth Durdell), and the thirteen pounds per year, both standing in the Long Annuities of the Bank of England.
