Canine, died at the home of her brother, Ras Clore, nearByron, Wed. evening. She suffered an apoplectic stroke two weeks ago,and one the day before her death. Funeral services will be held at theByron Christian Church at 11 this morning. Interment in Maple RidgeCemetery. Waveland Independent, Nov 19, 1926 -- Rebecca Jane Clore was born Dec 9,1848; departed this life Nov 10, 1926 at the home of her brother ErastusClore, 7 mi. northwest of Waveland; age 77Y 11M and 1D. She was thedaughter of Berriman and Mary Rice Clore, who with one brother, ThomasClore, preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to John C.Canine on January 22, 1891. He preceded her in death Dec 6, 1918. Shewas a member of the First Baptist Church of Crawfordsville. She lived alife of usefulness and service, always ready to lend a helping hand, everthoughtful of those about her and always willing to help others. A truefriend and neighbor has gone to her reward. She leaves to mourn herloss, one brother, Erastus Clore; two sisters: Mrs. Johnson Clore andMary C. Bowers, both of Crawfordsville; also five step children: Thad,Ben and Harry Canine, Mrs. Rose Livengood and Mrs. Sally Sheffield, and ahost of other relatives and friends. She had been in poor health forseveral months, but was confined to her bed the last two weeks. All wasdone that doctors and loving hands could do, but to no avail.
