a. Note:   at and fix a highball. In my minds eye I can't see Dad without his fedora and overcoat. The 2nd thing was his discipline. Occasionally Mom wouldn't discipline me, but told Daddy that he really needed to spank me. He would take me upstairs to my bedroom, close the door and tell me to sit on the bed and pretend to cry. He sat in a chair and clapped his hands together loudly so Mom would think he was spanking me. He never laid a hand on me. It was our secret.</b>
