Note: He was an "Achtelmeyer" -- holder of one-eighth of a traditional farm. Documents indicate that the Kreyenhop farm had been heavily incumbered with debt during his lifetime. His widow tried to manage alone it after his death, but by 1836 she had lost it to a new family, Carsten K�nekamp and Anne Margarethe B�ckmann.
