Note:   Newspaper Obituary: Coshocton Tribune June 17, 1930 AGED COSHOCTON WOMAN STRICKEN THIS AFTERNOON Mrs. Eliza Jane Layton, aged 84, died at the home of her daughter at 12:35 o'clock from infirmities of age and from injuries received in a fall down stairs last December 3. She had been bedfast since that time. Mrs. Layton's maiden name was St. Clair. She was born March 1, 1846, Pennsylvania, but most of her life was spent in Coshocton and vicinity. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She was highly respected by all who knew her. Her husband James Layton, preceded her to the grave 38 years ago. He was a civil war veteran. The following children survive: Frank of Kenmore, Samuel of Dresden, Mrs. Josephine Lynn of Detroit, Michigan, Mrs. Clara Snack of Dresden, George and Howard Layton, both of this city and Mrs. Holdsworth to the late home. Two children preceded her to the grave. Twenty-five grandchildren survive. No funeral arrangements had been made late today. Newspaper Obituary: Coshocton Tribune June 18, 1930 LAYTON FUNERAL Funeral Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Pleasant Hill Church in Muskingum County for Mrs. Eliza Jane Layton, aged 84, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Holdsworth South Sixth Street at yesterday afternoon. The funeral cortege will leave the daughter's home at 1 p.m. for the church, Rev. J.O. White, pastor of the Baptist Church will officiate.
