Obituary: JACK J. COHEN Jack J. Cohen, 76, Kansas City in Clay County, a former business owner, died Oct. 7, 1992, at North Kansas City Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the White Chapel Cemetery mausoleum; burial in the cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Newcomer's White Chapel.
Mr. Cohen owned Square Deal Hardware and Supply for 40 years before he retired. He also co-owned the Duco Real Estate Co. and worked in jewelry sales. He attended the Avondale United Methodist Church. He was a past member of the Meadowbrook Country Club.
He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. He was a lifelong area resident. Survivors include his wife, Retta "Penny" Cohen of the home; two sons, Terrance Alan Cohen, Mission, and Darryl Robert Cohen, Kansas City; a daughter, Sharen Jeanne Fleischer, Lenexa; two brothers, Raymond Colby, Chicago, and Lester Cohen, Leawood; a sister, Florence Kirschbaum, Overland Park; and two grandchildren.
