Note: Dale was born in the apartment located above the shoe store, built by his father, Gottlieb, at 118 N. Orange St. in Albion, Albion Township, Noble Co., IN. Dale operated the Schwab Shoe Store (formerly operated by his father, Gottlieb) until his death at the age of 54 years. He was an active member of Saint Marks Lutheran church in Albion, Albion Township, Noble Co., IN, the Odd Fellows Lodge, A. F. & M. No. 97, the Scottish Rite, the Albion Chamber of Commerce and, in 1932, he served on the Albion Town Board. Schwab Dale, 54, (b. 10-17-1890) passed away as the result of a heart attack at midnight May 15, 1945. Surviving are the wife, Daisy (Stout); one son, Avon; one daughter, Enid; and a grandson, Avon Hugh. He was a lifelong resident of Albion and had been engaged in the shoe business since reaching young manhood. He was a member of the Lutheran Church, the AF&M No. 97, the Scottish Rite, the Odd Fellows and the Albion Chamber of Commerce. Funeral will be at the Lutheran Church Friday afternoon.
