Note: Charles is shown in the Albion town Census of 1900 at the age of 35 along with his wife Frances, daughter Pauline and sons Forrest S. and Clarence K. They apparently lived next door to Michael and Catherine Beck. The following is Charles' Obituary:- ______________________________________________________________ Charles W. BECK Charles W. Beck passed away at 9 o'clock Sunday evening after only a few weeks illness with heart disease. He was born in 1865 on the same lot where his residence now stands. He was 63 years old. For many years he had engaged in the wholesale produce business from which he retired several years ago. His wife was Fanny Schwab, who passed away in 1918. There are two daughters and four sons surviving: Mrs. Pauline Ross, of South Bend, Saint Joseph Co., IN, Mrs. Katherine Ralihan, of Kendallville, Dr. Forest Beck Clarence and Robert at home and Dr. Charles Beck, of Upland, IN. There are three grandchildren Charles Beck Ralihan, Martha Jane Beck and John Robert Ross. One sister, Mrs. Melissa Smith and one brother, M. C. Beck, of Albion, also survive him. He was a charter member of Albion lodge No. 223 Knights of Pythias. The lodge and Rev. B. D. Nysewander conducted the funeral services on Wednesday at 2 o'clock at the home with burial at Albion. ____________________________________________________________ Beck Charles W, one of Albion�s citizens, passed away at 9 o�clock Sunday evening.
