a. Note:   Info from Nellie M. Stump in Blue Mound, Kansas, 1974, Daug hter of Samuel Day, Web's brother: "Elsie L.(age 10), Willi am D.(age 8), and Charles F. (age 4), all Children of Danie l and Alice Day contacted diptheria and died within a week . Their six year old son, Otis, was away from home visitin g family and escaped the disease. The law was to bury in th e closest cemetery immediately the dead of a contageous dis ease as Diptheria. Web and Alice buried these children in K incaid, Kansas, where they lived but that night or soon the reafter, Web and his brothers, Sam and Doc (Sandusky) dug t hese graves up and took their bodies to the Pleasant View C emetery on the family plot in Blue Mound, Kansas. They go t them reburied before daylight. Web felt very strongly tha t families should be kept together. There is one stone fo r all three children in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Blue Mo und, Kansas."
