Note: North Vernon Banner 10/4/1871 Cora Ann Day,daughter of John D. and L. Day of Stanton Kan sas, was born April 11, 1868,died September 26,1871 at Nort h Vernon, While on a visit with her parents,among numerou s relatives and friends of this county,she was taken with t hat disease diptheria so fatal in many cases, and in two we eks from the day she left her home in Kansas,her body wa s interred in the cemetery at North vernon. The afflicate d parents will return to their home with sad hearts but lit tle Cora rejoices with the angels.
