April 20 1864 Peninah Jane is on Probate Records of Cass Co. State of Michigan with her brothers John B and James S, and sister Sarah on the estate of her Father Wiley S Woods, with William Hinchman and Thomas Easton, brother-in-laws of Wiley, who were appointed guardians of the children. April 15 1865 Penniah Jane Woods lived with her Aunt Nancy Averal, who was paid for board and schooling for Penniah by William Hinchman.
