Note: e title of Mr. and Mrs. Cedar Rapids. Fran worked for the Grand Trunk Canadian Railroad from 1934 - 1942 in Iowa. In California he worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 14 years and then Packers Cold Storage in Fullerton California. His last job was with Hawaiian Punch - RJ Reynolds Foods and he retired from there in 1973. He always worked in traffic management. After that he helped Dorothy in the antique shop until they retired in 1978. BURIAL: My parents, Fran and Dorothy Taylor, met on the big white steamship going to Catalina Island in 1935. Before they both passed away ( within a month of each other) my Dad said he would like to have their ashes scattered in the Catalina Channel where they met. BURIAL: Their ashes were scattered on October 6, 2001 which would have been Fran's 90th birthday. The ceremony was held three miles off of Newport Beach, California. On October 3, 2001, their wedding anniversary, they were married 65 years. BURIAL: The Mariner's Farewell Ceremony BURIAL: The vessel does a figure eight infinity sign.
