Note: rtmadoc later as a child. In 1918 both his parents died after a tragic occurence.
As Robert, his younger brother, was only 11 years old, he was put in Dr Barnado's home in Caernarvon.
After his oldest sister, Lily was married in 1921, Dad brought his 2 other sisters, Adeline and Dilys, along with his young brother, Robert, to Rhyl/Rhuddlan to live. They all then met their respective partners and went on to marry in Rhyl.
He was a very quiet unassuming man and always hated christmas. When we later discovered that his parents had died over the christmas period it was no wonder. He adored all his grandchildren but had a special relationship with our son, Matthew. They both had a keen interest in cars.
Dad did various things for work including labouring, racing horses(even racing one in Newmarket), and a coal business. He later went on to breed Border terrier dogs and opened a kennels, housing at least 10 dogs and walked them all individually on a daily basis, in his garage, which was a very successful business until he passed away
