a. Note:   . He is shown on his son Stephen's birth certificate as a rolnik which means "small holder" (a farmer with limited acerage). Stephen and Anna lived in Rudnik, Vychodoslovensky, Slovakia. This marriage produced ten children, both male and female, and of these, two brothers came to America, 1. Albert, Sr. who was born in 1890 and 2. Stephen Sr. who was born 1896.
Note:   Stephen George Snopel (whom we might call "The First" ) was born 11 Dec 1863. Stephen was married to Anna Sabo on 5 Jul 1886 at Rudnik, Vychodoslovensky, Slovakia which was under the rule of Hungary thus: Rudnok, Abauj-Torna, Hungary
