She entered the convent at Oldenburg, Indiana in 1929 along with her sister Bernadine who became Sister Mary Barbara. !OBIT Cincinnati Post (Cincinnati, Ohio) December 12, 1998 Sister Mary Regis Sabel, 91, of Oldenburg, Ind., died Thursday. Sister Sabel was a member of the Sisters of St. Francis, Oldenburg. Mass of Christian burial: 3 p.m. Monday at Motherhouse Chapel, Sisters of St. Francis, Oldenburg. Visitation: 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at the chapel. Weigel Funeral Home, Batesville, is handling arrangements.
