a. Note:   Louis A. Sabel Courier-Journal (Louisville, Kentucky) August 16, 2005 SABEL, LOUIS A., 68, of Louisville passed away Monday, August 15, 2005, at his home. He was a retired vice-president and part owner of the Berndsen-Jones, Inc. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus-Bishop Spalding Council, American Turners of Louisville, retired Major from the KY Army National Guard, the Parrish House, Louisville Sportsman Supper Club, the Elks in Clewiston, FL. He was an avid University of Kentucky fan and loved fishing. He was also a graduate of St. Xavier High school, class of 1954, and Xavier University, class of 1958. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Patricia Kremer Sabel; and his parents, John and Clara Brietenstein Sabel; his brothers, Joseph P., and John Jr.; and a sister, Sister Clara Ann Sabel, SCN. He is survived by his wife Bonnie Graham Sabel; two sisters, Elizabeth B.Striegel (Dr. Martin), Barbara O'Bryan, (Robert); stepson Keith Graham; stepdaughter Allison Graham; step grandchildren, Clay and Taylor Graham; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at noon Thursday, at St. Boniface Church, 531 E. Liberty St., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, at Rattermans, 3711 Lexington Rd. Visitation from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville or St. Xavier High School.
