a. Note:   Migrated to colonies in 1646. Paid way for self, wife, and four children.
 March 23, 1649, Robert petitioned for 400 acres for transporting above six persons.
 Warrant was issued to lay out 400 acres in St. Mary's province southward of
 Patuxtent River in Maryland. Records exist showing marital infidelity on part of wife, Dorothy; Robert's marriage to Christian Bonnefield and punishments for offenses.
  Further records exist documenting purchase and sale of lands in various locations
 in Maryland and subsequently in Virginia.
  According to research conducted by the University of Central Lancashire, Robert's father could have been Robert, Francis, or Robert of Asshworth. May never know due to lack of records.
  He was a cooper and planter at St. Michael's Hundred, St. Mary's, MD. He was also a member of St. George's Church, 1st Anglican church in MD--possibly buried there in unmarked grave.
  Robert and Dorothy were married 19 Dec 1625 in Manchester Cathedral, Manchester,
 Lancashire, ENG.
