a. Note:   Catherine M. Guere was called home to the lord Monday after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 11, 1937 in Albany, NY to the late Dale Robb and Katherine (Baldwin) Robb and was raised in Philadelphia, PA, where she attended local schools. Kay was a faithful Christian who cared deeply for others. She was a homemaker and found joy in spending time with her family and in running. She was a member of the Fulmont-Montgomery Road Runners Club and received the 2004 Comeback of the Year Award and the 2005 President�s Award. In addition to countless regional road races, she completed the Air Force Marathon at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in 2002. Kay was also a self-taught classical and spiritual pianist. In the last decade, she learned and mastered the art of Web site design and maintained her own family Web site while corresponding online with friends and family. Kay is survived by her loving husband, Leonard Guere, with whom she recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. She is also survived by two sisters, Joanne (Robb) Meisner of Hatfield, PA and Sabrina Robb of Ocala, FL. She leaves her five children: Charles Guere and his wife, Mary Lynn, of Amsterdam, NY; Robert Guere and his wife, Kerry, of California City, CA; Richard Guere and his wife, Kitten, of Fairborn, OH; Joshua Guere and his wife, Kara, of Goldsboro, NC; and Mary Rose (Guere) Corigliano and her husband, Raymond, of Springfield, MA. She was also the proud grandmother of 10. Family and friends will gather at a reception in her memory at Perth Bible Church gymnasium, Perth, NY, Sunday, Jan. 15th, 2006 from 2-5 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter�s Cancer Care Center, 317 South Manning Blvd., Suite 100, Albany, NY 12208; or to the Community Hospice of Amsterdam, 246 Manny�s Corner Road, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
