Note:   JERSEY SHORE --- An injury received Friday (25 June 1943) when her hand was caught in a clothes wringer proved fatal to Mrs. Olive Eliza Robb, 65, yesterday ( 28 June 1943 ) at the Community Hospital. Mrs. Robb, widow of William J. Robb, resided with her brother-in-law, Perry A. Young. She was born at Beech Creek and was a member of the First Methodist Church here. She is survived by four sons, Lloyd E. and Howard G., of Buffalo, N.Y.; Walter E., Jersey Shore; Dale W., Philadelphia; a daughter, Mrs. Lamont Overdorf, Albany, N.Y.; two brothers, Walter Miller of Mackeyville, and George B. Miller of Clearfield; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in charge of the Rev. W.W. Willard, Jr. Interment will be made in the Blanchard Church of Christ Cemetery. Note from Sabrina : Died at 12:15 am in the Jersey Shore Community Hospital of a cerebral embolism due to the crushing of her left wrist on 6.25.1943. Note : See State of Penn Certificate of Death # 55809, issued 6.30.1943 Lee says they lived just down the block from each other on Maple St. He also says his Aunt Olive (our Grandma) moved in with his father Perry Young almost immediately . Lee's mother passed in 1932. There was something going on between grandma Olive and Lee's father Perry before their spouses were dead. I will bet money on it. Grandma Olive lived with Perry Young until her death. She died in Lee's house.. That's where the "accident" happened. As soon as Grandma Olive died in 1943 Lee's father Perry moved in with Hazel (ROBB) Heaton, daughter of Clarence ROBB and Ettie (GUMMO) Robb. Hazel's husband passed in 1938. BTW, I spoke with Hazel in 1979. She died 2 years ago (1999) at the age of 95. She wouldn't tell me too much in 1979 but in generalities. She was sweet and polite and invited me to write her. I did a few times but she didn't respond. Lee's father died in her home in 1965. Grandma Olive was a member of the First Methodist Church in Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Rev. W.W. Willard, Jr. officiated at her funeral service. I spoke w/ Ms. Dorothy (MILLER) CARTWRIGHT on 10.17.04 and she relayed some interesting information. Emma (SOLLARS) MILLER had 2 heart attacks at a very early age..............and the 3rd one killed her in 1892. Dorothy said her father (George) was 4 y.o. in 1892 when his mother had her fatal heart attack. He was sleeping with her and when he woke up she was dead............ Dorothy also seems to remember a "MILLER Bible".........and that Madeline KUHN (who married a Bill GETTEN or GETCHEN) may have had it. Dorothy also knew my Grandma Olive (MILLER) ROBB. Said she was a restaurant cook for most her adult life............and she made a wonderful dinner of "Glorified Rice"........ "Glorified Rice being a concoction of rice, walnuts, raisins and cream........
