Note: Most of this information came from Lola Ethel (Mummy) Coney Breen Vital statistics personal knowledge of Lola Ethel Coney Breen ****** I don't have a copy of this marriage license. Leo Yeatts died on August 12, 1986. Patsy and I drove from Tyler to Houston to see as many relatives as we could the day before the funeral. I was leaving with Keith on the day of the funeral to go to Colorado for a 2-week vacation, so I couldn't attend the funeral. I saw a copy of Mummy's marriage license. ******* Some information came from Ann LaJaune White of Conroe, TX ********* A typed note from Gail (Betty Gail Breen Cochrane) I believe was written to Al Coney about Lola (Mummy) Ethel Coney. Excepts follow: My grandmother was a small woman of 87 pounts with a lot of energy and more love than anyone I have ever known. She spent her life lavishing love and care of her family. She sort of kept things going, watching food cook on the stove, wiping a child's tear, or letting the dog in or out. She loved to laugh and was always property dressed with a blouse (usually white) and skirt, and carried a handkerchief. ********* A hand-written note from my mother, Kathryn Almeda Barnard Breen Patty reads that the following information came from Lola Ethey (Mummy) Coney Breen: Her father was Irving G. Coney, and her mother was Knuppenburger and her mother's father came from Germany when a baby. ********* From Tommy LaJaune about his grandmother, Lola Ethey Coney Breen: Mummy never complained about anything. She was so pleasant to be around. The thing I remember best about her was when my mother would mention going crabbing and Mummy would go get the same attire she wore every time we went. It was the same pair of jeans and the same shirt every time. A lot of times just she, mama, and I would go and spend the day. We'd bring the crabs home, get a giant pot of water boiling, put them in and then shell them. It was a blast and a highlight of my childhood, even though I never liked crabs back then. I remember one day, Mummy was resting on a limb over the water with a string in her hand and the limb broke, she fell in the water and I swear I was laughing so hard I could barely pull her out. Those are happy memories. Obituary Notice: BREEN Mrs. Lola Ethel Breen, 80, of 1222 Theresa died Sunday. Member of St.Peter's Catholic Church.
