a. Note:   ke, Alton asked Kathryn to marry him to help him take care of the Roadrunner Ranch, located near Barksdale, Texas. The marriage was not particularly a happy one.
 Since Kathryn was mother to Sally, Patsy and Gail Breen, and Alton was our uncle, this made sort of an incestuous marriage. We called Alton our "funcle."
  According to his daughter, Margie SoRell, Alton Patty had not been well for several years. In 2001, he committed suicide in his front yard in Kerrville, Texas by putting a gun in his mouth and pulling the trigger
