Note: r approximately two years. They landed in St John's New Brunswick. They lived in Niagara Falls and Ted started a band when they were in high school. They played locally during the school year and went further afield during the summer. Then the boys went off to university the band broke up. Ab went to the University of Toronto�s school of Dentistry. He graduated Magna cum Laude. The war had broken out so he went to officers school and when he was finished he married Urna Troup in an evening service (see marriage announcement). They were in Dunnville for a time and then were sent to Yarmouth, where there first son was born. Ab was sent to Iceland and Urna and baby Troup came home to Niagara Falls until he returned to the east coast. After the war when they were traveling back from Nova Scotia they stopped in Napanee to visit an old friend, Ron MacPherson. He told them that a dentist was retiring shortly, the man died before he could retire but Ab bought his practice from the widow and they set up house keeping in town. They rented a place on Bridge St. for a few years and then moved into the house on West Street. Ab was always very active in putting on shows and skits both in the war and in Napanee. He died in hospital from complications of diabetes.
Note: Ab was the youngest of John children by his second wife. He was born in Northern Ireland and when he was very young his parents decided to leave Ireland and move to Canada. John came out first and Mary and the childrensaled on the Tunisian afte
