a. Note:   grene of the uterus. Her premature daughter Shirley (7months) died shortly after her mother. She died in University Hospital in Augusta. Stories were told that she worked in tupentine fields alongside her husband Marion and that he did not take her for proper medical care and she dropped in the fields and died a few days later. As per Thelma, Elvira and husband Marion walked back from Florida to Georgia and she had twins underneath a tree and they died immediately after birth. Confirmed with death certificates for infant twins born in Lowndes County, GA 1934.
