Note: RESEARCH_NOTES: 1. Mentioned in the christening record of Wienrode for the following children: A. "Wienrode, Johann Georg Christoph, b. 10 Nov 1755 and bapt. 13 Nov 1755, son of Master Johann Ernst Sattler of Wienrode, oilmiller, and Maria Margarethe Fischern (maiden name). Witnesses: Johann Christoph Fischer, Johann Georg Fischer, and Johanna Eleonora Wernern -- all three unmarried and from Hüttenrode." [The archivist indicated that the "n" on the end of the surnames Fischer and Werner are optional and not often used. We could presume that the witnesses with the surname Fischer are probably relatives through Christopher's mother. As a miller of oil, it would have been probably flaxseed.] B. "Wienrode, Johann Georg Christoph, b. Johann Andreas Wilhelm born 23 Jul and bapt. 26 Jul 1758, son of Master Johann Ernst Sattler, born in Wienrode and oilmiller, and Maria Margarethe Fischern (maiden name). Witnesses: Wilhelm, youngest son of Heinrich Michael Grashof, of this place, farmworker [Wilhelm is sponsor/godfather]; Anna Margaretha, daughter of Jacob Schrőder, farmworker in Heimburg; and Master Johann Andreas Klamroht, oilmiller from Thale." C. "Heimburg, Christina Elizabeth Sattler, born 4 Oct 1752, bapt. 6 Oct 1752, dau. of Johann Ernst Sattler and Maria Margaretha Fischers. Sponsors: Johanna Maria Christina Möhlbach, wife of Conrad Knopf; Johann Jacob Werrer(?), barkeeper from Goldbache; Sophia Elizabeth Sattler, wife of Hermann from Hüttenrode." BIRTH: 1. Could not find a christening record for Maria; however, her marriage record gives us birthplace and parentage. MARRIAGE: 1. From the Hüttenrode church records per my Jun 2009 visit to the Brunswick Archives (Staatsarchiv) in Wolfenbüttel, Germany. These records have not been filmed by the Family History Library and are only available by visit. Hüttenrode is a small hamlet within the Amt (township) jurisdiction of Blankenburg-am-Harz. The area was part of the former Communist East Germany. The record translated with help of the archivist: "Hüttenrode, marriage of Johann Ernst Sattler, oilmiller from Heimburg and son of master oilmiller Hermann Sattler, and Maria Margaretha, maiden, born in Hüttenrode, oldest daughter of Johann Andreas Fischer." BURIAL: 1. From the Wienrode church records per my Jun 2009 visit to the Brunswick Archives (Staatsarchiv) in Wolfenbüttel, Germany. These records have not been filmed by the Family History Library and are only available by visit. Wienrode is a small hamlet within the Amt (township) jurisdiction of Blankenburg-am-Harz. The area was part of the former Communist East Germany. The record translated with help of the archivist: "Wienrode, burial 6 Apr 1783, relict (widow) of Ernst Sattler, age 53 years, [illegible], 9 days. 'She was a good woman.' Died of bronchitis."
