Uncle John advised me about the nice long conversation he had with you. I'm so glad that you called him. He gave me the above address so I'm testing it out be- fore I get into the Family Tree info. My address is my son's (we are living to- gether) I also have my own unit but it isn't hooked up just yet. It has a printer so I can keep info sent to me. That's why two units in the household. Please advise me that upon on rec'g this. AND THEN WE WILL GO FROM THERE. I am going to MICHIGAN to go to the Family Gathering at Ginger's. With love and best regards, Aunt Ramona 3019 Miller Ave, Lake Placid, Fl 33852-8059 Ph. 1-863-699-6678 ****************************************************************************************** Hello Bernie, My daughter Janel Blood did relay on to me your initial query, and your email to me was very interesting. I looked up your web page reference also. That shows that we have quite a lot in common, as I am two years older than you and also from Michigan! Our Blood farm (centennial in 1952) was near Hastings, MI. However, I wasn't able to access the family tree information from your web page. I am not a professional geneologist. I have been successful, through the familyhistory.com 'BLOOD' message boards to finally make connection of my g.grandfather Samuel C. Blood to the Bloods of New England going back to Richard Blood of Lynn, Groton, MA. So, as I have it, I am the 10th generation descendent of Richard. It would be interesting to know the 'Blood' ancestry lineage of your wife Rita. Perhaps we are closer related than we know? But since you have undoubtedly researched the family lines yourself, and have the Harris book, it isn't too likely I can add anything to what you know. I too would like to get hold of hard documentation on a number of my own ancestors, but just haven't gone that far yet, other than to learn their names. I think perhaps our best bet would be to go to the Morman (Latter-day Saints) archives for the hard copy birth, marriage and death records. Anyway, I would like to make your acquaintance and learn more of your wife's family connections. If it will help you, I can send a list of my ancestors to see how we have common roots. Most of the Bloods came from Robert, of Concord, however, as you have seen in the Harris book. It is not clear how or if Robert and Richard, both of England originally, were related to each other. I would suggest that you first contact the family history library if there is one in your area. They have microfilm of many town records. If they do not have your ancestors,I can check in the Mass.index of town records. The town offices may not be able to copy the earliest pages if they are too fragile. However,I would have to check with the individual town on that. The townoffices can make certified typed documents though. Also,if the records are in the Mass. index, I could check to see if the town records have been published. If you want me to do just 1 hour of work, to find if the records are in the index, that would be fine-$14. If the Family History Library does not have the material you want, let me know and I can check.
