Note: (Youngest of 13 kids. Neither mother known.) according to a verbal statemet by Emily Sadowski and confirmed by phone 12/Feb/01 with Sister Albina. NOTE: This has never been able to stand up to Bernard's research. No other family was ever found. Mike's obituary only notes the actual family from Poland that Bernard visited in 2001) The material furnished 25/Jan/01 by Tomasz Sadowski, Pl shows the family as noted in the OBit. From the first marriage, 6 or 7 sibs were born. The wife dies. Dad remarries and has 6 or 7 more children. By the time Micheal Sadowski was 2 or 3 the earlier sibs had all departed for the USA. (taken by phone with Sister Albina on 12/Feb/01 Robert Bitkowski is the nephew of Michael Sadowski. The Bitkowski's lived in Bradford area, PA. I attended a wedding there and somthing wlse. Once with dad, mom, and Bob and once with Uncle Stan. I tried vey hard to make contact with the Bitkowski family and they refused to aid the research. Bernard could not prove this relationship. [Posted to the Emigration-Ships Mailing List by Michael Palmer - 16 September 1997] **************************************************** E-mail from rrichard@gfn.org 13/Jan/2003 Hi Bernie Tonight, I looked at a 1915 City Directory. There was a house own by an bakery at 2706 Michigan Ave in 1915. I did find in 1918 a Michael and Rose Sadowski at 2809 Michigan Ave. By 1921, Michael and Rose Sadowski lived at 3613 Grant Ave. [ As my St. John Street ancestors would say " the other side of the tracks, closer to All Saints". ] When I looked in the 1915 under Sadowski, there was a Michael Sadowsky working at Flint Sanitary Can Co. and was boarding at the business. The business was listed at south side of Flushing Rd, west of North Stevenson ( must have been west of Hurley Hospital). ******************** Joseph and Anna Bienia lived with Mike and Rose in this 3613 Grant St. home in 1922. I could not find anything under the surname of Notoray, are you sure the name was not Mitoraj- there was Mitoraj living on Michigan Ave in 1918/1922. Hope this helps. Dzien Dobre! Richard
