Note:   According to the conversation with Lorraine (3/22/02) here are some facts about Richard's father John: the Rogers family was from the Scalesmound, IL area (Jo Daviess county) Richard lived with his father after Lenore and John separated (I'm assuming that Jean did then as well) John Rogers was a doctor as well (Doctor of Osteopathy, or O.D.) and practiced in the Osh Gosh, WI area which is where Richard and Jean would have grown up Lorraine thought that he studied to be a doctor after he and Lenore separated
