Note: Maria/Mary was born 19 May 1869 in Austria, where I do not know. I have her maiden name listed as McCarthy, but that has never sounded like an Austrian name to me. I have contacted the Slovenian group to get an idea of what else it could have been, or even if there are McCarthy's in Austria. No luck!
When I contacted the Catholic Church in Wenatchee, WA where she attended church and who officated at her burial, They have her maiden name as Ivanich which is more Austrian.
Listed on daughter Anna's death certificate is McCarthy as Maria/Mary's maiden name.
Listed on Maris/Mary's own death certificate is Markuty but then it is crossed out.
