a. Note:   Pensacola Gazette, (Pensacola, FL) Saturday, January 08, 1848 DIED-In this city on the morning of the 4th instant after a short and sudden illness, FLORIDA, infant daughter of Col. Daniel and Louisa Saint.
Thus has the insatiate monster Death, within a short time, torn from the embrace of fond and indulgent parents two lovely children. Sincerely do we sympathize with them in their agonizing and heart-rending affliction. This daughter, though young, was truly lovely, beautiful in form and face, exhibiting an intellect remarkable for one of her tender years. The fondness which children naturally feel and manifest for parents, was blended with a gentleness meekness and docility in the conduct of this child to an extraordinary degree. This sweet flower has been snatched away from the chilling and blighting air of earth to bloom and live forever in paradise. Yes, her gentle sprit has fled from "the smoke and stir of this dim spot which men call earth," to claim its heritage in that world (where everlasting morning shines."
Light lie the turf, sweet babe, on thy breast,
And tranquil as thy soul was, be thy rest.
