Continued: Fred is shown in the Rock Co., Nebraska School census of 1897 with his siblings, Tom, Bettie, & Mollie. He married Perlina (or Paulina) R. Workman on 21 February 1906 in Ozawkie, KS, and they lived near his parents in Jefferson Co, Kansas. Perlina and Fred had the following known children, all born in Kansas: 1) Edna, b. abt 1908 ....2) James, b. abt 1910..... 3) Howard (Leonard?) B. Abt 1912 ......4) Warren, b. abt 1915 ...... 5) Luke, b. 1918..... 6) Roberta, b. 1920..... 7) Dorothy, b. abt 1926 .....and 8) Margaret, b. 1927. In 1930, Fred was working as a builder. His son Warren was a messenger for Western Union. Note: Some Sales researchers say Luke’s middle initial was “A”, and that he died in infancy. NOT TRUE. He is FRED in the 1920 census, and Luke “F” in the 1930 census, which states incorrectly that he was born in Idaho. His parents didn’t go there until 1891. We have 2 photographs of him as a man.
