Note: Forsyth County, Ga., was formed from Cherokee Counity, by a law enacted 12/3/1832. Prior to 12/2/1830, it was a part of Cherokee Indian East, Cummings, the only town, is the county seat. The county was named after John Forsyth 1780-1841. Buckner and Seleta came to Winston Co., AL., from Polk Co.
