To the Honorable, the Judge of the Probate Court: Your petitioners respectfully represent that the persons herein named are the next of kin, the lawful and only heirs at law of the said BUCKNER WALKER SR. deceased, late of Co. D, 1st Alabama Cavalry that the said, Buckner Walker Sr., departed this life intestate at or near Roland, Sequoyah Co., OK. on or about 10/23/1889, that his widow D. Angeline (Williams) Walker remarried Reuben Varner, alias McAllister there by forfeiting her right, as held in case of John M. Maher (34-LD-342-344). That the said BUCKNER WALKER SR. left as his only heirs at law the following persons, all of whom are over twenty one years of age, to wit: Jas. Harvey Walker, son of Buckner Walker and D. Angeline Walker, the only child and heir if living or let issue, otherwise passes to the following as the brothers and sisters as the next of kin of BUCKNER WALKER SR., desceased to wit: Isaac N. Walker of Muldrow, OK., Robert H. Walker of DeQueen, AR., J. Harvey Walker of Cleveland, TN., Wm. Walker of Moulton, AL., Memory Walker of Peaks Mill, AL., and Nancy Burgar of Lucktown (DuckTown) TN. That the said BUCKNER WALKER SR. seved for more than ninety days, as Co. D, 1st Alabama ca. that he made a homestead entry No. 2741 at Huntsville, Alabama for E2 NW4 of Sec. 20 - Tp10, R. 7W, embracing 80 acres, by reason of the said military service and the said homestead entry by the said BUCKNER WALKER SR. deceased, his heirs at law are entitled to a Soldiers Additional Right for 80 acres, which has been declared as personal chettel property which is vested in the Soldiers estate, amd may be disposed of by an administrator duly appointed and qualified in the county in which the deceased Buckner Walker Sr. had his last domicile: Your petitioners therefore represent to the Court that it will be to the best interest of the heirs at law to have ISAAC N. WALKER appointed as adminstrator of the estate, and duly authorized to make an assignment of said vested property right under the direction of the Court, to Geo. W. O'Neal, of Harrison, Arkansas, for the sum of $80.00 which amount you petitioners have agreed to accept as a satisfactory and reasonable value therefor. Your petitioners therefore pray that ISAAC N. WALKER be appointed and authorized to sell the said right, and that the said sale when made be approved and confirmed by the Court, and they will ever pray, etc. Two attesting witnesses : James W. Beuofloes????? and M. D. Jones. On this day personally appeared the persons herein named as heirs at law of BUCKNER WALKER SR. deceased, to me, well known as the persons who executed the foregoing petition, who being duly sworn according to law, state that the facts as set forth in above petition are true anc correct.
