Thomas Dennis Daughter father of David Ross
1800 , South Carolina Thomas Dennis will of 1829 he list his Grandson David Ross as being one of the potential heirs to his estate.
It is now assumed from this that David Ross b. 1800 was the son of this Dennis Girl since both Moses Ross (connected through DNA matching) and this same Thomas Dennis were residing in the same County (Chesterfield) of South Carolina in the 1800 census.
This, it is now believed, explains the reason Moses Ross's second wife (Adelina) was very young at the time of David's birth and unlikely to have been his mother. It is now believed that this Dennis lady (daughter to Thomas Dennis) was his rightful mother.

Bill Ross said he got his information from relatives in Church Point, La. where his descendan ts Tilman N. Ross, Sr. and Jr lived and eventually diedand were buried.
