Where Tilma n N. Ross Sr and Tilman N. Ross. Jr. lived and eventually died and buried there. Tillman Ross and William T. Ross enlised in the Confederacy on March 13, 1862. They both sev ed in Company H 31st Regiment Volunteers (infantry ) until Tilman was wounded. His records i ndicate a severe injury in the battle of Baton Rouge, LA on August 5 1862 (camped on Comite R iver. They were transferred to Company D 8th Regiment Calvery until the end of the war..
