Note: r. Thomas Curtis of Wethersfield, Connecticut. She and all of her siblings except Truman were baptized in 1795 in the Washington Congregational Church before the family departed for Augusta, Oenida, New York.
A descendant of David Curtis, son of Joshua and Sarah, had a yellowed piece of paper saying that Joshua's daughter Sally married an Ezra Marks. Since there was an Ezra Mack in the same vicinty as Noble and David, I believe that the surname Marks was misspelled and should have been correctly spelled as Mack.
I however have been unable to trace any Ezra mack married to a Sally.
1810 Census for NY, Madison County, New York: Ezra Mack, 1 male 26-44 and 1 female 16-25. Therefore female was born 1785-1794.
In 1820 Census for Smithfield: Ezra Mack, 00010; 00100. Also in Pioneers of Madison Co, New York, there is an Ezra Mack in Smithfield in 1829.
There is a note in Tree Talks, vol 3, no. 3, pg 11 that a Betsey Curtis, 14, on Sept. 14 last; Emily, 17, on apr 15 last; Aristeen, 10 on Sept 9 last; Ellis, 12 on May 7 last, ch of Wells Curtis, late of Madison. Sally Mack, mother, appt Dec 15, 1834.
1840 Fed Census for Nottawa, St. Joseph, MI, pg 256: Ezra Mark, 1 m 50-60 and 1 f 50-60.In 1850, there is also a Sally Marks in Hopewell, Ontario, NY (roll 571) as aged 59, $110, b NY and Roxana Marks, 30, b NY.
There is a Jeremiah Mack who was b 1746 and had sons Joshua, Joseph, and Ezra. They lived in Stockbridge before moving to Oswego Co, NY. He served in the CT line. There is another Jeremiah Mack who was b 1739 and settled in Madison Co, NY 1802. He lived in Hamilton and also served on the CT line. He was on the Madison Co pension roll for 1818. In Connecticut Nutmegger, vol 26, #1 on page 144 (June 1993), there is a query, " Ezra Mack m 21 Aug 1771 Lyme CT Lydia Gibbs. Had s Ezra b 11 Aug 1791 Lyme CT.
