Note: The Concord Monitor said she died on the 30th, but in fact it was on the 28th. Obituary from the Monitor: VENICE, Fla. - Patricia Elaine Saltmarsh, 70, died Sunday, at home. She was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., the daughter of Merle and Elma (Armstrong) Ashton. She lived in Concord until 1958, when she moved to Penacook, where she lived until moving to Venice, Fla., after retiring in 1986. She worked as a registered nurse. Saltmarsh was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church and its Women's Guild in Englewood, Fla. She was also a member of Elks Lodge 2378 DOES. Survivors include her husband, Richard Saltmarsh of Venice, Fla.; four sons, Andrew Saltmarsh of Wolfeboro, Daniel Saltmarsh of Nashua, Timothy Saltmars h of Naperville, Ill., and Michael Saltmarsh of Goodyear, Ariz.; two brothers, Robert Ashton of Burlington, Vt., and Richard Ashton of St. Johnsbury, Vt.; two sisters, Barbara LaMonte of St. Johnsbury, Vt., and Carol Griffith of Falmouth, Maine; and four grandchildren. Her parents died previously. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church. Lemon Bay Funeral Home, Englewood Chapel, Englewood, Fla., is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
