Note: . He had married Christina McLea Thomson in 1889.She, however, died at 25 years of age in 1891in Forth. Reason for death is unknown at this stage. William McMeechan was a Journeyman Baker and when marrying Christina Barker was living at Stonefield in Blantyre. They married at 113 Renfrew St, Glasgow, where Christina was living. According to the 1881 census William was living with his parents in Linlithgow Bridge Village and was a student In the 1901 census William was living in Blythswood, Lanark at 113 Renfrew St and was listed as a Baker. He was living with his wife Christina, children Jessie, Mary, Daniel, James, Mother-in-Law Marjory Barker and boarder Thomas Hilion Enlisted in the Army Service Corps as a Baker in 1915 and was discharged in 1918 due to rhuematism of the joints aggravated by his army service. William separated from Chrisitina after World War I and lived at Barrhead until his death in 1956. He died due to a cerebral haemorrahge at 3 Fingleton Ave, Barrhead.
