  d. Saint John city, 3rd inst., Phoebe PURDY, 82nd year. Funeral from her residence 174 King St. (east) Saturday 3 o'clock.

  Phoebe Purdy is buried with her family at Fernhill Cemetery at VIO-10-361-U. The lots were owned by Jane Purdy. The funeral home was N.W. Brenan & Son. Mrs. Jane Purdy who died on 8 April 1855 at the age of 84 years old in lot 2, Phoebe Purdy who died at the age of 82 years old in lot 3, Sarah Purdy who died at the age of 84 years old in lot 4, Miss Mary Purdy who died 20 June 1871 at the age of 81 years old in lot 5, and Miss Mary A. Hennigar who died on 15 September 1933 at the age of 94 years 9 months old in lot 1.
  No grave marker is present. Notation on chart at Fern Hill states it fell down in 1940. This was confirmed by Nanci Graves 15 Aug 2007.
