Note: of the migrants, the last sighting of their homeland. The trip through the English Channel was a rough one with bad storms. The ship made a good time time to Tristan da Cunha but en route to the Cape of Good Hope ran into seas where "long ridges of water ran high and fast. Masts were damaged but nobody on board was injured and seven weeks later (something of a record) the Susanne Godeffroy anchored in Moreton Bay, having rounded Tasmania and sailed op the coast in just nine days.
One baby (likely this was Heinrich) was born and eleven children and one adult died during that eventful trip during 1863-64.
