Note: Walter Francis worked for 50 years on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad as a conductor on the Capitol Limited, the Washington to New York run. When he retired at the age of 70, he worked as an elevator operator at the Title Guarantee Building in Baltimore. He was a member of the Pythagoras Lodge, AF&AM, and several other lodges. Among his other interests, Walter played the clarinet.
