You told me that Wilda Estella Kerr's mother was Eliza Kerr, I am quite certain that she was Eliza (--?--) [Wagoner] Kerr. And you told me that Eliza was married to a Samuel Kerr. There is an Eliza Wagoner, 35, living in Chartiers, Allegheny Co., PA in 1870 with a daughter Mary or Marg, age about 12-13, and other children. This Eliza is the wife of John Wagoner b. France, who may have died and she remarried Samuel Kerr by whom she had Estella in 1875, then Samuel died and in 1880 she is a 44 y/o widow with a 20+ daughter Maggie Wagoner and a 6 y/o daughter Estella Kerr. They would be half sisters. Other children left home or died...
At the same time (1870) in Elizabeth, Allegheny Co., PA, there is a Samuel Kerr, 50, b. PA, with probably a daughter Elizabeth, 26, keeping house for him and four children, 17-24, probably of a desceased wife. Maybe he is the person she married -- my speculation, of course.

Later, I found that she did remarry. In the INDEX TO MARRIAGE AFFIDAVITS MAY 24, 1922 THROUGH NOVEMBER 25, 1933 on http://skyways.lib.ks.us/genweb/mhgs/F-H%202.htm
 Grotz, M. Hitchcock, Stella 16 Aug 1924 CC190
This indicates an affidavit is on file in book CC, page 190. I will check into this.
 *********************************************************
She was found in a 1939 or 1940 City Directory:
I dug through some City Directories there and found Dad, Marion Hitchcock, son of Albert C. Hitchcock, and found some information of some value to me. I know Grandma divorced Albert in the time after Dad was born (ca. 1910) and she must have married Michael Grotz around 1924.
Beginning in the 1931 City Directory, I surmise a misspelled name, but there was a Mrs. Stella (she called herself Stella) Gross, at 825 South Emporia Ave, apt 4H in Wichita. No mention of a Michael Grotz or Gross.
In the 1939 and 1940 directory before Dad and Mom married, he was listed at 320 west 3rd Street. in Wichita. I found her name in the 1940 directory at the same address, 320 west 3rd, as "Grotz, Stella (widow of Michael) and Marion Hitchcock", her son listed alphabetically, of course, at "320 west 3rd", too! She was in 1934, 1935, and 1936 directory.
She does not appear in the subsequent City Directory books that I checked after 1940, but Mom said she was alive when I was a baby, so that makes her living in 1944, anyway. She was not found in the 1943 book. Wilda Estella died July 13, 1945, according to records of Cemetery which I learned with a phone call.
