Note: Harold Pedersen was a laborer who worked hard to support his wife and three children. He drove trucks most of the time, spending many years delivering coal. He lived in the city of Chicago before and after is marriage. He later drove a scavenger truck for a large company, picking up non-saleable goods from places like Play School and Max Factor. Next he delivered fresh made Ordures, and until he retired, he then drove a school bus. He was being treated for cancer of the lung, and was brought to his son Harold's home to gain strength before going for Kemo therapy. He continued to get weaker, and died while his daughter Sandra, his daughter-in-law Karen, and his wife Lottie were there. He became a Roman Catholic just a few weeks before he died.
Harold Sr. never traveled, but a few years before he died his son Harold took him by plane to Denver, Colorado. They rented a car and visited many areas in Colorado. He really enjoyed this trip. His wife Lottie was too sick with asthma to be able to make this trip.
