He was a very good, kind and caring man who loved to tease and tell long tales. He spent time in California and Oregon before marriage. During WII Loren was very upset when not accepted for military service due to bleeding stomach ulcers and flat feet. While working for the Meston Ford Dealership in Broken Bow, Nebraska he won a car. Loren started as a salesman and worked upwards to become the Sales Manager and then the Acting Manager at the dealership. He was Initiated to the Masonic Temple October 10, 1951, Passed on November 21, 1951 and Raised on January 9, 1952 (Masonic Temple in Broken Bow, Nebraska. Master: Orvis M. Meston). Loren then became a trouble shooter for the Ford Company and moved his family to Lexington, Nebraska. He became a shoe salesman in Alliance, Nebraska and then - once again moved his family. Loren and his wife sold all (or most) of their furniture and moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where he sold insurance for a short time. He then became a guard at the Nebraska State Pen in Lincoln and told me (vlww) he had finally found his calling from God - counseling young men coming through the State Pen. He said he had always wished to be a minister. Williams�/u��/b� was born at Burwell on July 16, 1913, to the late �u��b�Bert and Nora Williams�/u��/b� of Ansley. He died Dec. 22, 1964, at the age of 51 years. Loren grew up on a farm near Ansley. He graduated from Ansley high school in 1935. On June 23, 1940, he was united in marriage to �u��b�Laura Elenor Jones�/u��/b�. To this union were born three daughters. The famly resided in North Platte for a short time; however, most of Loren's married life was spent in Broken Bow. There he was employed as the sales manager for the Meston Motor Co. While living in Broken Bow, Loren became a memer of the First Christian Church and he served it in many ways. He was a member of the Emmet Crawford Mason ic lodge No. 148 and served as the Associate Guardian of Jobs Daughters Bethel No. 20. In 1961 the family moved to Alliance where they resided for a period of two years. In June 1963, they moved to Lincoln where they were living at the time of his death. In Lincoln, he was employed at the State Penal Institution as an officer in the Reception Dorm. This work was of a social nature and he enjoyed it very much. He transferred his membership to Bethany Christian church in Lincoln and continued in his service to the church. His survivors include his wife, �u��b�Elenor�/u��/b�; daughters, xxxxxx of Bristol, Va., xxxxxx of Lincoln, Miss xxxxxx, residing at home; sisters, �u��b�Mrs. Williams Ferguson�/u��/b� of Baker, Ore., �u��b�Mrs. Louis Kaelin�/u��/b� of Ansley, xxxxxx of Grand Island; brothers, �u��b�Glen C. Williams�/u��/b� of Hastings, �u��b�Dale D. Williams�/u��/b� of Grand Island; many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
