Note: Also known as Mike Swindler. My grandfather was a very shrewd business man. He retired fairly young, and did so by acquiring properties during the depression, and then selling them to his sons. He retained all mineral rights in all the properties that he purchased. He was an avid hunter, and fisherman. His home had many trophies. He had bear rugs in his living room on the floor, mounted fish in his den, and many deer and elk heads in his basement. I remember growing up being half afraid of them. My brother's would tease me incessantly. The whole family were hunters...with yearly hunting meetings, where they became great story tellers. They told stories of riding donkeys on hunting trips, bagging the big one, and funny antidotes on surviving in the wilderness. Name: M SWINDLER SSN: 502-50-0946 Last Residence: 58646 Mott, Hettinger, ND Born: 16 Jun 1882 Last Benefit: Died: Apr 1967 State (Year) SSN issued: ND (1962) Mott Pioneer Press, April 19, 1967 Last Rites Held for M.F.
